These are the blogs that have consistently kept putting out posts worth reading.

This year 40 blogs have made the list.

Obviously they are not in order of best to worst as it is impossible to number such blogs of various subjects. These are all great blogs in one way or another and offer up some sexy mind food.

AbSINthePassion – The blog of Mr. and Mrs. AbsinthePassion. Well written, insightful, fun, sexy, sometimes serious and definitely worth a read.

A tale of Bi and Bi – A mostly sex blog from a geeky, kinky, and open minded couple who are both bisexual.

At Longing’s End – The blog of Mina and Sylvanus. Mina is a 30 something year old gal who describes herself as short, curvaceous and spunky. Sylvanus is the male half and husband of Mina. He claims to be vintage 1977. They have a nontraditional and nonmonogamous marriage. They also have a small collection of recipes posted. Be sure to check it out.

Being Bella – The blog of a 30-something mom, wife and lover, trying out the open marriage/swinging thing with her husband of 10+ years.

Being Black Silk – This blog is predominantly a sex toy review blog. I usually don’t find much sexiness in a review and if a site is more than 50% reviews it is not very interesting to me. This blogger however makes her reviews sexy in themselves with her very original, thought out, and nicely composed sex toy photos. Besides the reviews you will also find other fun pictures, drawings, fiction, and non fiction.

Confessions of a Swinger’s Wife – Journal styled blog mostly concerning swinging and related subjects. Lots of thoughts on life and sex in general are shared here on this blog.

Curvaceous Dee – The blog of a pansexual, polyamorous, fat, kinky, New Zealander by the name of Dee. Great writing and fun attitudes abound.

Frisky in the 916 – The very random blog of Jack and Jill. Stories, fantasies, pictures, and more. Sometimes funny, sometimes very personal, mostly just fun.

Hotwifing Exposed – Fantasy and the real deal too. The blog of a married couple in the UK.

(It Girl. Rag Doll) – A well written and thought provoking blog dealing primarily with sexuality and erotica.

It’s Just A Hobby – The blogs tagline is “Stuff about sex, politics and the law.” Thoughtful and questioning with a sprinkle of kink on top is how I would describe it. Not being USA based (as I am) the politics and laws are not always familiar to me, but the topics are universal.

Learning to… – A journal styled blog of a gal/couple that pretty much touch on most aspects of life. This blog once was called “Learning to swing,” but then life turned them vanilla with sprinkles.

My Dissolute Life – Husband, Father, Slut. Blogger. (that is the tagline on the site) You will find a lot of varied subject matter on this journal styled blog.

My Whole Sex Life – This blog covers a ton of subjects in regards to sex and sexuality. The part I enjoy most however is what you will find when you click the tab that says Evoë’s Blog.

Pieces of Jade – A fun and kinky girl shares her adventures in words and photos on this blog. I have followed Jade for a long time and the only reason this is the first time listing her blog on my sexiest blog list is because I had previously listed her no longer updated (A Poly Life) in 2011 and 2010.

Rebels Notes – This blog from Marie Rebel is a journal style blog that covers many aspects of her life and fantasies with a lot on her D/S lifestyle. She also hosts Wicked Wednesdays, which is a sexy blog meme I have sporadically participated with this last year.

Sex with Rose – A self described amazon (as in tall) by the name of Rose blogs about her sex life, and sex in general.

Swinging Gemma – The adventures of Gemma and Jake, both real ones and fantasies. This is a fun and varied blog to read.

Synergistic Energy Exchange – Journal styled blog with advice and food for thought thrown in. The blogger covers a lot, but her primary focus is sacred sexuality and relationships.

The secret life of a naughty kitty – A girl “kitty” shares her sexual thoughts and adventures in a fun way on this journal styled blog.

The Sexual Life Of A Wife – I ran into this blog at the end of 2011 and thought it interesting. A year later I still do.

Week Bi Week – A couple who are poly, both bi, kinky, kinda (or sometimes) swingers… What more do you need in a blog writing team?

Crevice Canyon – Not a lot of posts on this blog, but when it is updated the posts are always entertaining and fun. I am a quality over quantity type guy so Crevice Canyon makes the list. The blogger describes herself as a sex positive, smut brained, curvy, queer, filthy tomboy femme who loves to frolic on the pervy side of life. (2 years listed)

Evil Slutopia – Last year I described Evil Slutopia as heavily opinionated and in your face on a multitude of topics, and mentioned that find the extremely liberal one moment then conservative the next viewpoints very entertaining. That all still stands. That makes for a great blog. (2 years listed)

KissinBlueKaren – A general sex blog of a high caliber with the added bonus of some great swinging adventure stories. You will find a little bit of everything here from product reviews to advice. (2 years listed)

Love Hate Sex Cake – Musings on a libidinous life. Here you will find the beautifully sensuous, tastefully sexy, and often dreamy images and words of Cheeky Minx. (2 years listed)

MissyStarrk – A personal sex blog done mostly in a journal style. A lot of ground gets covered here, ranging from personal thoughts and feelings to adventures and sexcapades. (2 years listed)

Molly’s Daily Kiss – A blog from a submissive in the UK that covers a lot of different ground. I actually enjoyed this blog so much that it inspired me to sporadically participate in a meme she hosts called Sinful Sunday throughout this last year. (2 years listed)

Rebecca Ammon – Conversations about Sex, Love, and Relationships. A general topic sex blog with a slant towards the swingers lifestyle. Lots of different subjects are covered here in a usually light and playful manner. (2 years listed)

Dick n Jane – Though post frequency dropped a bit this year for this blog, Dick n Jane is still one of the best all around personal style sex themed blogs online. Dick n Jane deliver with advice to add spice, sex education, personal thoughts, shared experiences, and random posts that just set you to thinking. (3 years listed)

Having my cake & eating it too – The sensual blog of Joanna Cake. This blog covers as she puts it “all the elements of a being a woman.” Thought provoking, sometimes sad, often sexy, occasionally eye opening, and always worth a read. (3 years listed)

Hubmans’s Hangout – This blog is sexy because of the writers attitude. Though you can find some sexual content (actually a lot in the archives) it is more of an anything and everything journal type blog. The writer also happens to be very into photography and I often just pop in to see what his latest photos posted may be. (3 years listed)

Jenny Swallows – Sexy writings, juicy thoughts, and more fill this blog with a nice taste of humor thrown in. Written well and always fun. (3 years listed)

Love and Lust – Sex + art + porn + gibberish (taken from site) is a fitting description for what you may find on this blog. As a side not I will also mention that I have taken to following this bloggers tumblr too. It is primarily filled with pictures of pretty girls and sexy things shot in a semi romanticized or artistic manner. (3 years listed)

New York Swingers A couple involved with the New York swingers scene write about their adventures and thoughts on the subject. Their personal accounts and answers to their “ask me anything” offer for readers have added up over the life of this blog resulting in a virtual treasure trove of information. (3 years listed)

Thoughts from a mystic Satyr – A journal style blog filled with randomness, but focusing on the more sexual and erotic side of life. A lot ow well written fiction this year. (3 years listed)

A lot of people who wander through my little blog like my The sexiest blogs – Always worth a read list.

Well… there is another cool list done yearly that features sexy blogs.
It is Rori’s annual Top Sex Bloggers list.
Hers is a bit different as she has different taste, lists a full 100 blogs, and takes nominations.
The sites are all a bit sexual in nature and include pictures/videos, erotica, sex ed/advice, opinion, poetry, personal journals. I’ve also noticed she lists lots of product reviewers on her list.
There are a few on Rori’s list that are on mine too.
(I think that shows good taste)

Anyways… the nominations are open, and this year she is giving away prizes for nominating people.

Oh… and just to be a bragger – My wife and I landed in spot 72 last year on the list with Swingers Attic.
I find that pretty good considering it is a site dealing with swinging, polyamory, and non-monogamy issues.
That shows an open mind to me as the general sex blogging communities are NOT about such things.

So this chick comes in and she is a big fan of the group TOOL and also (as many TOOL fans are) a fan of Alex Grey’s artwork.
She want’s these eyes tattooed on her.
I do it.

While tattooing her she says she say on the artists site that he doesn’t allow tattoos of his work or some such thing.
I say it is personal expression, fuck that.
I went to his site alexgrey.com and clicked his use of images link.
Holy crud… he does go on about tattoos (and everything else under the sun)
TATTOOS:
For no fee, you may have a tattoo made from Alex’s art under the following conditions:
1) Employ the best possible artist who is capable of rendering the best reproduction of the work and thereby giving the most beautiful results.
2) Send a good quality photo of the finished tattoo with your name to info@alexgrey.com. (work in progress photo also requested but optional).
3) Grant free use of the photo of your tattoo for any subsequent publication approved by Alex Grey.
I create art. I do it for my lively hood. I may not be as famous as Alex Grey and therefore not as ripped off as him, but my stuff does get jacked pretty often. Just yesterday I found a site selling crap prints of five of my paintings without permission and with nothing going to me. The battle must ensue, I am constantly dealing with stupid stuff like that.
I have even received advertisements in the mail trying to sell me my own poorly copied tattoo flash designs for MY shop. (That has happened multiple times) People are thieves.
Alex Grey has been ripped off tons, I’ve seen it, and he is obviously paranoid about it because he has a HUGE page yakking about copyrights, use, credits, etc…
Still, he does get that without fans and grassroots promotion an artist is nothing.
He does allow some use.

For example:
LIMITED USE ON A WEBSITE:
You are permitted to use ONE image on your personal (non-commercial) web site with the following stipulations.
1. A link to AlexGrey.com must be visible WITH the image.
2) The image used must be no larger than 400 pixels/ 3 inches in either dimension.

2) Images MAY NOT be used on the homepage.

3) Images MAY NOT be used as backgrounds, cropped, or otherwise presented in a manner which obscures the entire image in any way.

4) Images may not be used on web sites deemed inappropriate.

5) Images may not be modified, colored, animated, adapted, collaged, used as a graphic design element, or altered in any way.

To use an image as an Avatar:

1) Images must not exceed 200 pixels in any dimension

2) Images used must have the Alex Grey web site address plainly visible (alexgrey.com). If the requested and approved image is not already available with the URL text as described, we will create one for use under the terms of agreement.

3) Images may not be modified, colored, animated, or used as an element in a graphic design under any circumstances unless through separate written license between Alex Grey and the specific web site.

I find all this funny because it is all so hard (impossible) to enforce.
I know this for a fact because besides my art I have dealt in an industry that is filled with thieves more than almost any other. PORN
Yes, I took tons of pictures of thousands of girls over the years.
I hold copyright and posses the model releases along with the age verification.
These images have been sold to other companies/websites for limited use. Very strict contracts are used and there is also the fear of the powers that be coming down on thieves asking either for model release proof or age verification. One could cause huge monetary problems and the other prison time even, but still… people steal the images and post them all over the place. They even use them for print materials which is ten times as dumb because you can’t just delete and say sorry when a cease and desist is all that has been asked of you.
*sigh* It is all a bunch of crap… but, wtf on a huge page like that saying what you can and can’t do?
I think it will only discourage the more honest people anyways who would have given credit.
The douche bags who steal for profit will still be ripping off the creator of visual media and getting away with it.
Then again… maybe he is right. Maybe that is how it has to be.
Maybe all of us will soon be listing our rules.
Ignorance of the law is not an excuse in court.
Maybe it is the artists responsibility to have a page such as Alex Grey has.
again… *sigh*

Butchtastic  – The blog of a self described geeky genderqueer butch from Washington State who is an athlete, writer, and proud parent in a open relationship. This blog is very well written and gives great insight into Kyle (the blogger) identifies with gender, sexuality, identity and the way people label each other.

Crevice Canyon - I have only been reading this blog for about three months, but it is so dang good I had to list it. The blogger describes herself as a sex positive, smut brained, curvy, queer, filthy tomboy femme who loves to frolic on the pervy side of life.

Cuntlove - A lot of blogs try and be sex positive/ body positive and end up being dry, bitchy, and boring. Cuntlove is fresh and wonderfully written. What originally drew me to the blog however I will admit is the great selection of pulp, retro, and sexy art images used in the posts.

Dick n Jane – One of the best all around personal style sex themed blogs online. Dick n Jane deliver with advice to add spice, sex education, personal thoughts, shared experiences, and random posts that just set you to thinking.

[ erotic . wet . atomic ] - The blog of a mild mannered geeky girl by day, and sex diva at night. This blog is kinky and covers all types of human sexuality including BDSM, swinging, polyamory, open relationships, furries, pet play, submission, and more. I think you should find it interesting, insightful, and educational.

Erotiterrorist - Erotica that I sometimes like. What makes the stories stand out is that they have a different flavor than a lot of erotic writing I run into. Check it out and see if you agree. I also really dig this guys blog header.

Evil Slutopia - Heavily opinionated and in your face on a multitude of topics, and calling “bullshit” on what people/organizations say and do seem to be a big thing on Evil Slutopia. I disagree with at least half of what I read when I visit this blog and find the extremely liberal one moment then conservative the next viewpoints very entertaining.

Forever The Queerest Kids – Usually upbeat, very informative, wonderfully put together and just awesome in all regards. The target reader was meant to be queer youth, but this blog should be read by everyone in my opinion. I had wanted to put this on last years list, but it hadn’t been around long enough.

Guess Her Muff - Each post is of a girl. She is usually clothed. The idea here is that you try and imagine what her vagina looks like. Does she shave? Landing strip? That sort of thing. Then you click the pic and you find out. I will admit I don’t visit this blog on a daily or even weekly basis, but I do check it out about once a month and enjoy being completely wrong with my guessing most of the time.

KISSINBLUEKAREN - The swinging blog of a gal in Florida named Karen Blue. Here you will find some great stories of her adventures that sometimes include some naughty pictures. There are also a lot of sex toy reviews and an option to pay to see videos. I have not checked that part out, but the swinging adventures are well worth the read.

Literary Wench - A submissive, polyamorous, bisexual gal blogs about sex and relationships, shares poetry, and makes you think about things.

Love and Lust – Sex + art + porn + gibberish (taken from site) is a fitting description for what you may find on this blog. Updated regularly with spicy images and thoughts to go along with them.

Love Hate Sex Cake - The ultra sex blog of Cheeky Minx should have been on last years list, but stupid me just had to round the list down to an even 40. I hope you enjoy the beautifully sensuous, tastefully sexy, and often dreamy images and words of Cheeky Minx as much as I do.

Lusty Lady - The blog of Rachel Kramer Bussel mostly focuses on erotic fiction, but covers a lot of other ground too. I also happen to be a lover of cupcakes so must suggest that you take a peek at her cupcake blog too.

missystarrk - A sex blog done mostly in a journal style, but you really never know what you’ll find week to week. Be sure to check out the we are beautiful project pages.

Molly’s Daily Kiss - A blog from a submissive in the UK that covers a lot of different ground. I have actually not been following this blog for very long, but since I have it has become a regular read.

My Hot Raven - Written by a guy who adores his gal. This blog primarily features photos of Raven and has tiny little stories of the what, where, and why to go along with the pictures. The simple descriptions and way the writer talks about her is what makes it so sexy.

New York Swingers – A couple explores the New York swingers scene and writes about it on this blog. They pretty much cover all aspects of their adventures and thoughts.

Not Your Mothers Playground - The blog of Samantha Fraser. An author, educator and life/relationship coach. – The focus is on open relationships, but this blog covers whatever the writer is thinking about at any given time. Well written and often thought provoking. Not updated tons lately, but well worth checking out.

Open Marriage Life – The blog of a polyamorous sex educator who doesn’t like bare feet, but does like reality tv. This is another blog I recommend reading a few older posts besides the current ones when you first check it it to get a feel for where the writer is coming from.

Our Open Marriage Adventures – A journal style blog that gets very personal and covers all the ups and downs the couple experiences as they explore their sexuality. I have been following this blog since it started and highly recommend it.

Prowling with Kat – At first glance this blog may seem to be a how and why to cheat type blog written from the female point of view it is much more. There is a lot of delving into basic human needs and desires, and the advice section has some interesting and informative stuff for anyone in any lifestyle.

Rachel Rabbit White - Thought provoking, current, and intelligent is how I would describe the writings of Rachel R. White.

Rebecca Ammon - Conversations about Sex, Love, and Relationships. Rebecca touches base with a ton of different subjects on her blog and also features many guest posts on all sorts of sexual topics.

Sex and the Shitty - This blog is full of it. (I found humor in that) The blog is funnier than me, don’t worry. An often (but not always) humor filled look at gender, sexuality, friendship, dating, relationships, accepted norms, and life in general from a gal named Elle and a bunch of other people.

Sex Babble – Lola likes to talk about sex! This is a fun blog written by a fun minded girl. Thoughts, humor, pictures, experiences, and more.

SexinArt.net - SEX – In all its delightful and exciting forms expressed through art. No matter your tastes I think you will find something you can enjoy here.

Sexual adventures of a married woman - A very NSFW journal styled blog that covers the writer’s sex life, fantasies, fetishes and kinks. Photos are often included.

Sexuality & Love in the Arts - A cool blog from a guy named Mark that covers sexuality, relationships, love, ethics, and art criticism. This blog is well written, thoughtful, and is also a great place to find some great art of all types.

Submission and Metaphor - LIFE AND LOVE AS PERFORMANCE ART (that is the tagline) I have actually been stopping in and reading bits of this blog for close to three years now. It has always been a good blog filled with musings that get into your head, but this year I have found myself reading it more often.

The Big Ugly - 10 second timer self-portraits. When I originally stumbled across this gals blog I was immediately impressed.

The Life and Charlotte Times - A great blog out of St. Louis, MO from a gal with lots on her mind and a knack for telling it how she sees it. Polyamorous, adventurous, and outspoken… from parenting to burlesque, Charlotte talks about everything under the sun.

This Could Be Dangerous - The personal blog of Lilly who is also the gal that puts out e[lust] and hosts Wanton Wednesdaywhich I participate in, amongst other things. Most of her posts are related to sex and blogging in some manner, but not all.

Thoughts from a Mystic Satyr – A journal style blog filled with randomness, but focusing on the more sexual and erotic side of life. I have especially been enjoying his Flash Fiction posts the last few months.

For the past couple months my wife and Beth (you can see their butts here) have been counting and organizing votes for The People’s Choice Sex Toy Reviewers Awards they decided to host on Real Sex Toy Reviews.

The results came out yesterday (I knew the winners for 3 days) and as usual my banner/button making work was called on.

I made this pimp style button for the awards

I made one for light backgrounds, a universal, and one for dark backgrounds. I thought I was being super nice and going the extra mile. The only used the one for light backgrounds and didn’t even make text links to the other versions.

I’m also supposed to make some T shirt designs for the winners, but I am kinda pissy about not having those extra buttons linked up by the girls because I simply abhor wasting my time like that.

Oh well… I got Christmas coming up soon and pissing of the girlies just before the holidays isn’t the best way to get a really awesome present.
I’m thinking that to make sure I don’t feel taken for granted I may get an extra naughty gift involving lots of teasing, some sexy costumes, tag team sweat sessions, and maybe some role play?????
(Yes that was a hint)

Anyways… I was also asked to “mention” that the results are published.

Last year when I published The sexiest blogs of 2010 – Always worth a read list,  it seemed to be pretty popular.
The original page received over thirty thousand views in 9 months before I decided to delete my blog and moved the page here… (The sexiest blogs of 2010 – Always worth a read list)
I am supposing many a new blog was found by readers, and the bloggers themselves picked up some new followers.
That is what I published it for.
I read a lot of blogs and the ones who keep my interest I thought to be unique and a cut above the rest.
My personal blog reading list is now pushing 500 blogs.
Some I check weekly, some monthly, and some whenever I have the free time (rare of late)
All are pretty good in one way or another.
The list I published last year however was the cream of what I READ!
Sadly, a few have disappeared, and some have changed for the worst or been abandoned in just that short span of time.

The reason for this post?
I have gotten a few emails, comments, submits via form, etc… as to if I shall publish the list again, and if so… “Please check out my blog.”

Yes I shall publish it again.
No I won’t check out your blog.
I will be honest here for you bloggers who think you kick ass and don’t understand why people are not linking to you.
You don’t deserve it and your blog probably sucks.
It is either just boring in general or your blogging exactly like someone else has done before you, but you ain’t the original.
If you had original content that interested people you would not need to beg for attention. Other bloggers would be giving it to you already. They would mention you and your blog. They would tweet about you and share your posts on Facebook and Digg.
Copycat blogs are boring. Blogs without personal flavor are boring.
It is that simple.
Don’t worry if people will like what you post. Say it the way you see it.
For example this post (Chocolate pussy and taboo words) is the most popular post on my blog besides my front page this week with over 1400 unique visitors to the page in the last 3 days.
There is only 1 comment posted on it, but people shared it and talked about it other places. Some if the responses are not so good.
Another thing to remember is that blogging is not about good writing. It is about good story telling. These are two different things. People who read blogs want the personal aspect. They are not on your site for your awesome writing skills. (unless of course your blog is about writing)
For example… Millions of people have an asshole boyfriend or girlfriend they just broke up with. Nobody gives a shit about your personal break up. Go ahead and tell about it, but if you want people to give a crap then you have to let them know YOU a bit.
Why is he or she an asshole, what is it they have done, what you felt about it, how you handled it, etc…
Did you cheat on your spouse? That is a very common “sex bloggers” topic. Guess what… Nobody gives a shit if you don’t share your true feelings and give the details.
Got information you want to share? Great, we all love to learn stuff.
For example I will use Breast cancer awareness month. Every other blog on the Internet seems to have mentioned it once or twice this month. (I’m exaggerating)
Whole lotta nothing is being said by most. To say nothing, but still promote awareness it is better to just say “Hey, it is breast cancer awareness month and here is a page to learn about it” (National Breast Cancer Awareness Month organization) than to make up some dorky post about it with no relevancy to you or your blog. Get personal. Share YOUR views. That is what blogs are for. That is what will gain you readers and mentions.
Lastly… don’t worry about traffic or visitors to your blog.
I’m not saying you shouldn’t promote, but keep it to a minimum, and keep it relevant.
Filler posts and stupid comments suck. Make comments on other blogs when you actually have something to say about the post. When other people see “great post” or some other shit as a comment they are not going to feel an urge to visit you.
On the other hand, if you make relevant comments that readers of that blog find interesting they will sometimes feel an urge to check your blog out.
As a matter of fact… that is the #1 way that I find new blogs to read.

I have comment moderation on all my sites that even mention the word sex.
Mostly that is because of spam issues. I hate spam.
Another reason is that we sometimes (though not often) get some pretty funky responses.
I see no reason to let them through and debate with closed minded morons about freedom of lifestyle choices and dictating how people think and behave.
Every once and a while I get some funny ones though. (or at least to me they are funny)

I got this one today on The Swingers Attic, and it prompted me to write this little post.

“You people are sick and disgusting. I can’t believe anybody would want to read your disgusting and fucked up advice. Cheating is bad and telling men to cheat on their wives is bad too. You will burn in hell for spreading your sick ideas. Why any decent person would believe your filthy way of life is not a sin I don’t understand. Marriage is a union under god between a man and a woman. I hope you realize that your sick homosexual propaganda and cheating advice ruins marriages. I hope some day you will learn the error of your ways and find the right path. That path is with Jesus.”

The above comment was from anonymous. The funny thing about anonymous is that she subscribed to comments and used her primary email which included her actual name @ her place of work. The IP matched up with it all too.
If I was a mean dirt bag who actually found offense in her comment I could easily spam her entire workplace with such info. I would never do that of course, but for those of you who like to post hate comments, please be more careful with your info.
If I had chosen to say anything it would have been along the lines of – I think I follow the path of Jesus already. He was a chill, non judgmental person who accepted everyone and never pushed his views on people. His method was to lead by example, and talk to those who wished to listen. He wanted people to come to him and learn. He didn’t force his ways.
I may have also mentioned that we don’t have anything close to homosexual propaganda  on The Swingers Attic. We don’t have any propaganda for any heterosexuals or bisexuals either.
We have the stance of whatever floats your boat when it comes to peoples sexual orientation.
As for telling men to cheat… WTF is that about? We are anti cheating through and through. We are about consensual non-monogamy in it’s varying forms with a heavy leaning towards the swinging lifestyle. Cheating by definition includes deceiving, breaking faith, acting dishonestly, or stepping outside of rules.
We promote communication and honesty. That is so not cheating.

This one was also a comment on The Swingers Attic that didn’t make it past moderation.
It was however from a few weeks ago, but I thought it was humorous so decided to fetch it out of the discarded folder.

“How can you say you love your wife and let other guys fuck her? If you loved your wife there is no way you would be okay with other guys shoving their cocks in her. I wouldn’t be okay with that. I think you and every other guy who swaps partners does it because they are sick of their wife and just wants to fuck somebody else.”

The weird thing here is that because of the poster’s belief there is no real way to respond that could do any good. Telling him that many men actually enjoy watching their wives have sex because they idolize their wives would not be believable to him.
Telling him that many men completely separate the act of sex and love would also not be believable to him. This is a guy who has obviously made his mind up about swingers and swinging in general.
Lost cause.

BBC and the Swinging Lifestyle. Please note that post was brought on by negative comments I received on this one… Chocolate pussy and taboo words.
Interracial sex and swinging it seems can stir up some emotions in certain people.

So… Here is the comment:

“Did you really let a black guy fuck your wife?”

This simple one liner really stumped me. I understand where the poster is coming from and all, but what would make a person need to write in such a stupid comment?
What was he hoping for as an answer? I doubt a simple “yes” or “no” was what he was looking for.
Maybe he wished a debate started on the topic of interracial sex?
Maybe he wanted me to give that simple answer so he had an opening for some nasty dialog?
I will never know… because I no longer allow crappy comments through on my blog.
Comment Moderation Is On!

So I went and changed our profiles on the three sites we use for meeting other swingers to say that we are “on a break from meeting new people.”

It was about photo switching time and I almost did it just because of habit, but realized it was kinda stupid to do so if we are on a break.

I purused some profiles though and it got me thinking about how bad some profile photos are and what kind of thinking process must have been employed to end up posting such stupid / bad images for the main pics.

I also got to thinking about how different the sites we use are when it comes to people and their photos.

The biggest site we use if you are going by active memberships is Adult Friend Finder.
This site is probably the most well known of all the adult dating sites and also the most heavily advertised.
Because of that it is full of flakes, fakes, and douchebags.
Even so… because it is so large and so popular it is one of the best places to meet other swingers online.
It is the best site to meet newer couples and hardcore swingers alike.
The newer couples are on Adult Friend Finder   because it is the site they found first, and the more active regular players are on it because it is huge and easy to meet people on a regular basis.
The photos people post on this site however just confuse the heck out of me.
What is up with people posting 50 shots of their genitals?
What the heck do they think that will get them?
Or people using out of date bad camera phone pictures with their heads blocked out by stupid scribbles or blobs?
Do these people think that is attractive?
I understand the need for discretion… but how can people be to lazy to take a nice photo for their profile and then expect that people will want to have sex with them?
If you are to lazy to upload a nice photo you are probably to lazy to brush your teeth, shave, wash, and plan for a great evening too.
Adult Friend Finder  may be big, and it may be one of the most easy to meet people who swing type sites on the net… but it isn’t the place to go if you want to see a lot of nice photos.

Looking around SwingLifestyle.com I get a whole different sort of pictures to see.
Very rarely am I bombarded with nothing except genitals.
That’s good… one genital shot is enough thank you very much.
SwingLifestyle.com Does have the blocked faces with big blob pictures problem however.
Seems like the majority of the pictures are random bad shots or quickly executed poses in bad lighting made specifically with the purpose of blocking out the faces to annoy me.
If you do have the need to block faces… take some fucking time and do it nicely.

The crowd on SwingLifestyle.com differs a bit from Adult Friend Finder in that you will not find as many looky lou types and scammers.
You will also not find as many newbies, but it is still a great site for meeting newer couples if that is your thing.
The majority of the seriously active couples on SwingLifestyle.com are lifetime membership couples because they offer a very good deal for lifetime membership.
The site has an outdated feel to it and if it wasn’t for the large amount of lifetime members would certainly need re-done to keep competitive on the web today.
Since couples seeking other couples are more interested in people to choose from than fancy web design SwingLifestyle.com cruises along very well even without all the fancy bells and whistles.

For those who have to have a fancy looking site however… LifeStyle Lounge  is a very purdy site.
More importantly (and to stay on subject) is that LifeStyle Lounge  is the only site of it’s type I have used that doesn’t seem loaded with all the crude, nasty, icky pictures that I see on other sites.
One reason is that they don’t allow explicit photos or genitals to be shown on the front photos area. They are very strict about it.
Any photos of those types must be put in private galleries.
LifeStyle Lounge  also isn’t full of all the funny blocked of heads because most people put face pictures in a special section (gold pics) that only people who have been marked as real by other members may see.
LifeStyle Lounge also doesn’t do any advertising to speak of and relies on word of mouth by it’s members. This keeps out the dregs and fakers a bit and because they seem to cater to a more upscale crowd they don’t tend to have as many photo hounds.
The one problem with the ‘upscale’ sales pitch is that a lot of profiles are full of nothing except professional photos.
Professional photos are fine, but I consider it a bit of false advertising too when the profile doesn’t show at least a few snap shots and candid shots.
Soft lights, and soft focus + some photo shop doesn’t represent what a person really looks like.
LifeStyle Lounge  definitely has the crowd that cares most about a good profile and makes sure to have nice photos… but some go overboard.
Give me some real you shots please!

So… That is what we use.
We take our own photos (or they are photos swinger friends have taken) and we show what and who we are.
We do hide our faces on the main pages, but allow real seal , networked, and friends to see the rest of us.

As you can see… our pictures show enough to let a couple get an idea if they are interested enough to find out more and do not cross the boundaries of being overly sexual.
Sexy yes (at least to us) but not XXX or nasty.

We always change up the male female main pictures.
Not much worse than a profile that only shows one person in a couple.
Usually it is the female half shown.
What the heck are people thinking?
Most people we know (including us) will not correspond with people who don’t show both halves of the couple.
It is just too spooky. Is the other half really ugly? Are they fakes? Is just one person involved? Dose one person in the couple have such low confidence they are afraid to show themselves? Do they consider their partner property that they can “trade” / “swap” so their own picture isn’t needed?
Or maybe they are actually some kind of freakish Yettie type creature just trying to lure foolish swinger couples to their den.
Hmm…
One never knows.
Show both halves!

I could go on forever that way about the showing just one person thing. So annoying!

Please not that all this stuff I have been babbling about is in relation to main front profile pictures.
The photos used in the extra galleries I really have no opinion about.
If you want to show 500 crotch shots for some reason in your extra galleries go for it.
I have no clue how it will affect your response rate to your profile.

Adult Friend Finder – The most pictures and most people. The most crude pictures and xxx.

SwingLifestyle.com- The least pictures. More home-style and real. Not to much xxx in your face, but some.

LifeStyle Lounge - The nicest photos. No xxx in your face.
