A goddess would have pubes

I just framed this up and sent it off to Dirty Show 14, which is an annual erotic art show held in Detroit.

The title is Demeter in the view of mortals.
It was inspired from a story about the roman goddess Demeter who is the goddess of the hearth and its fire whose flame was tended by vestal virgins.

Many people who know me in person have made comments on the pubes.
It has even been called things like “the pube picture,” and “Goddess of bush.”

I explain that it is a Roman Goddess, and that a goddess would not shave her pubes.
It was never mentioned that she had no pubic hair, so I assume she did.

My humorous friends (and family) have stated that it is to much of a bush.
They have said if I had made her hairless it would be more erotic.
My argument is:
1) Demeter would have had a full growth bush.
2) I already trimmed it up in my mind to fit better with today’s minds.
3) Some people really love a bit of bush.

So… weather you dig a bit of bush or not… a true goddess would have some in my mind.
I can’t imagine a goddess shaving her bits (or even magicking her hair away) to be in the current fashion.

On that note I will say that I have noticed a huge trend with the late teens/early 20′s gals not shaving anyway.
Just a nice trim seems to be the trend. A small bush so to speak instead of a short cropped lawn or baldness. It is rather cute.

      What a great counter culture painting. People seem to embrace what is “vintage” so maybe the cycle is heading back to bush. I am not sure where I stand on it. I am not a fan of completely shaved, but I am to ready for 70′s big bush porn again. Maybe back to the 80′s is best.

      BTW, as a ather of 3, I think that Dementer (or may e Dementor) is a character in the Harry Potter series..ha ha..hairy/Harry … Dementor /Dementer …. There is a bad knockoff porn in that somewhere. Regardless, you may get some interest in your painting for likely sources.

    I agree a Goddess would have had pubic hair. It is designed after all to enhance our own arousal aromas for the mate. Personally, I shave, I have that kinky curly hair that drives me batty.

    It just looks more emphasised because of the perspective, but I agree that they would have kept it natural. I think we’re just used to seeing fig leaves over everything in most statues when they’re not wearing those flowing robes.

    Even though I am smoothly shaven and have been for many many years, I totally agree that a goddess should have pubes. And sometimes I really like pubes on a woman, just not on myself. I love all your art work (yes, I took a peek) and I hope that one day I will be brave enough to show my own.

    To have hair or to not have hair, a rather contentious question now a days. A Goddess would definitely have hair and celebrate being the whole woman she is.

    I am a shaved girl and intend to stay that way however I think a trimmed bush is actually very sexy and more importantly I totally believe that there is no ‘right or wrong’ when it comes to pubes… it is all about what makes you feel happy and sexy about yourself

    I love that you refer to fashion in relation to the trend in baldness (and more alarmingly in cosmetic alterations). I have no particular preference nor indeed had I ever considered whether a goddess would shave or not. Perhaps, with endless minions and time on her hands, she might.

    I love it! I love Greek and Roman Mythology as well. I’m part of the tend that I don’t go completely bare. A nice trim up top, then shave the important bits. I went through puberty, I don’t need to look like a child… I love what an imposing figure she is, towering there in her might. Lovely
